DJ came over to the house and got my air conditioning up and running in a matter of minutes. Told us what wrong with our unit. He was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable, now we know what we thought, our unit was installed improperly from another company. He gave us some solutions and advised us of possible alternatives and took great care and patience with us. . It’s nice to have a professional and honest person in your house. Thank you DJ! We appreciate you!Update: DJ came back to the house today, it was a scheduled visit. He came back to go over our 7 year old furnace with a fine tooth comb. The problem was that we went with another company to get our furnace and our air conditioner. The guy who sold us our equipment, ended his life right after. The things that were promised when we purchased it was never put in the final contract he said he had to go write it up, at the office. New addition vents no new ductwork. DJ showed us how there is corrosion in our furnace, he showed us how everything is rusting. So he worked up a quote doing everything we wanted in the first place that the other company said that they could not do. Our basement is damp has been since we bought the house. We got financed right here on our front porch, he showed us the quotes on several different options. All new ductwork some new additional vents, the furnace is going to be hung from the floor joists in the basement away from the water that drains in when it rains. And we are now able to move the air conditioner to the other side of the house tucked away nicely not by the driveway. We have a driveway that is up hill and we were always afraid that coming up the driveway in the winter sliding into the air conditioner. He is able to do everything that we wanted, and we got the actual quote emailed as soon as we chose it option we wanted. Everything was done professionally and I cannot wait until it’s completed. Again I can’t thank you enough for all your honesty DJ, it has been a total pleasure working with you.

The only concern was that our old filter was installed into the new system. I’m not sure if Gene’s supplies the first filter or not, but I would think a company that includes a warranty would install a new filter with a new install. The issue may have involved a team of people not fully understanding what task each person has done. Other than that, he was excellent to work with.Following up on response from owner: The upper air conditioner did not have a washable filter an no filter was put in with install. The lower system’s reusable filter was most definitely not cleaned out before putting in the new unit. As far as opting out of the EZ system, we were told the filter would be changed by technician in one year, and we decided on continued service at that time.

DJ was very knowledgeable and extremely fast .. showed him to my ac / furnace he tested the motherboard diagnosed the problem ( blower motor module ) and suggested the best and most inexpensive fix without knowing that one of his competitors told my fiancé she had to replace the whole furnace (5000$)the day prior . I would suggest genes to everyone but more so I’d request and suggest Dj!! Dude seriously got after it and did not try to screw me

My air conditioner compressor was not coming on and blowing warm air. I called Gene's at 7am and Chris showed up at 9am. He quickly found the problem, a start capacitor, and took the time to explain it was under sized and replaced it with a new one along with a boost capacitor to prevent the problem occurring again.He did a great job and would recommend Gene's for any HVAC problems.
